    Our Pearl’s

    A Pearl symbolizes
growth, resilience, and transformation—key elements in fostering confident and motivated youth. A pearl forms through a process of adaptation and perseverance, much like how youth develop confidence and self-motivation when given the right environment and support. This aligns with trauma-informed practices, cognitive behavioral therapy, and social-emotional learning, all of which help students navigate challenges, build resilience, and develop a strong sense of self-worth. By incorporating Pearl into existing school programming, the message reinforces that every student has the potential to grow into something substantial and valuable, regardless of their past experiences or challenges.

    Lunch Intervention/Interruption Program (LIP)ChatGPT Image Jun 15 2025 12 24 33 PM

LIP—a trauma-informed, restorative program that has shown proven success by reducing behavioral issues, improving emotional regulation, and strengthening school culture.

We have seen that LIP can have a life-changing impact on high school students without pulling them from the classroom. Most students are ready to learn when they return.

Surveys show that 80% of students found LIP helpful because it was a nonjudgmental environment. They understood what they did and how to make different choices.

Held during lunch, LIP offers a structured and supportive space for students to develop critical self-awareness, effective communication, and emotional management skills. It’s designed to address root causes, not just behaviors, and supports your school’s broader goals around prevention, school safety, and student wellness.

    Learning Objectives:
Participants in the LIP will develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, and interpersonal skills through trauma-informed, cognitive-behavioral, and social-emotional learning activities. By the end of the program, students will demonstrate the ability to:

    • Recognize and interrupt escalating behaviors in themselves and others
    • Use self-regulation strategies to reduce impulsive reactions
    • Reflect on personal choices and their consequences
    • Communicate more effectively with peers and adults
    • Set and evaluate personal goals to support behavioral and academic success

    PIVOT Program Logo Design

Prevention & Intervention for At-Risk Youth was created for nonviolent juvenile offenders and youth identified as at-risk, with a clear and urgent mission: to keep them out of prison—and the morgue. Through trauma-informed practices, participants develop the emotional regulation, communication, and relationship skills needed to create a life of stability, success, and purpose.

PIVOT provides a safe, calm, and nonjudgmental environment for youth to better understand their thoughts, actions, and emotions. Using Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) principles, youth are guided to explore new, healthy ways of responding to and managing stress in challenging situations. Our self-regulation skills and interactive curriculum encourage reflection, curiosity, and personal accountability.

    Learning Objectives:
The PIVOT Program empowers youth to pause, reflect, and make conscious decisions that redirect harmful behaviors. By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

    • Identify the physiological signs of stress, anger, and shutdown
    • Apply learned strategies to interrupt impulsive or reactive behaviors
    • Recognize the impact of personal choices on themselves and others
    • Demonstrate increased accountability through self-monitoring and reflection
    • Practice goal-setting and problem-solving to support long-term behavioral change
